What happens when sailors can build a living record of their racing? We're exploring a new way of recording, comparing and following dinghy sailing results.
The problem
Sailors compete across a wide range of events throughout the year, yet there is currently no single place to see how those results fit together. Scores are scattered across individual event pages, club websites and spreadsheets, making it difficult to track progress, compare performances or build a clear picture of a season. This lack of a unified view makes it harder for sailors to measure their development and for others to recognise their achievements. We're changing that by creating a live results chart that brings every result from the year into one place, giving sailors a simple, accurate way to follow their progress and compare their results over time.
The idea
We're introducing a live tracker of all your results into an annual results sheet where you can track your progress and see how your moving up the fleet. This will be introduced as a feauture in our new developing website: CrewFinder for dinghies!
Building the platform
The new platform will follow a similar blueprint to CrewFinder: helping sailors to find a helm or crew in their specifc class to perfectly tailor to find the right person to sail with them along with the introduction of the opportunity to rank and compare your progression up the fleet.
What's next
We're always looking for ways to improve your experience using our platforms so if you have any suggestions on how we can improve CrewFinder for dinghies after its launch then let us know.
